Nico Mendoza

Bilingual Program Advisor

Nico Mendoza (He/Him/His) is CWEE’s Bilingual Program Advisor. In this role, Nico is responsible for supporting participants during their journey with CWEE by helping participants achieve self-sufficiency and self-determination. Nico brings empathy, patience, optimism, relatable life experiences and a passion for working with people in need of support; all of which are directly in line with CWEE’s work and mission.

Before joining CWEE, Nico worked for a nonprofit based in Fairfax County, Virginia. In his role as a Basic Needs Counselor, Nico oversaw the dental and prescription programs throughout the County. In addition to his role at CWEE, Nico is active in his community, volunteering as a Bike Technician at Second Chance Bicycle Shop.

Nico attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where he earned his Bachelor of Social Work degree. During his free time, Nico enjoys riding bikes, going on hikes, wrenching on cars, and spending time with his partner and their German Shepherd.

Nico can be reached at nmendoza@cwee.org.
